Cabinet Liquidates National Coal Company.

On Saturday the Cabinet issued a resolution according to which the national company, Ukrainian Coal, was liquidated. This company represented the interests of state-controlled coal mines, now its duties will be passed to the newly created Coal Ministry. Concorde Capital: As the Coal Ministry has more power than Ukrainian Coal, we expect these changes to have a positive affect on the coal industry. In particular, the Ministry announced they are starting the pre-privatization process in the coal industry, and have already started the preparation of five coal mines for privatization.
