Cabinet of Ministers allocates USD 12.1 mln to agricultural companies to compensate for flood damage

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in a decree yesterday, allocated UAH 58.5 mln (USD 12.1 mln) to agricultural companies to compensate for flood damage in Western Ukraine. Rivne and Khmelnitsk regions will receive most of the sum – UAH 20 mln (USD 4.1 mln) each; Volyn region UAH 12 mln (USD 2.5 mln); and Lviv region UAH 6.5 mln (USD 1.3 mln). Anna Dudchenko: All four public agricultural companies with land in Western Ukraine assured us that their planted fields were not affected by the inclement weather and they do plan to revise expected harvest figures (see our July 28 flash note).
