Cabinet Ok's Creation Of JV With RosUkrenergo.

Head of Naftogaz Oleksii Ivchenko announced yesterday that the Cabinet had signed a draft charter allowing for the creation of a joint venture between Naftogaz and RosUkrenergo to provide natural gas to Ukraine. Later in the day the Antimonopoly Committee approved the draft document. Ivchenko said he expects all documents concerning the JV’s creation to be signed today. Concorde Capital: Though this move has gotten a lot of press, it is just one step – RosUkrenergo still needs to approve the statutory agreements. However, the Cabinet’s move allows Naftogaz to say that it met the February 1 deadline.
