Cadogan plugs off Pokrovska 1 well after water found

13 October 2011

Cadogan Petroleum (LSE: CAD LN, N/R) plugged off the V26 Lower Visean interval of its Pokrovska 1 well after logging indicated it to be water bearing in order to start a comprehensive evaluation of the V24/V25 gas bearing interval, the company reported yesterday in an operational update. The company moved its Saipem drilling rig to Pokrovska 2a, where drilling is planned to commence this month. At Zagoryanska 1, testing of the secondary target V23/V24 Visean proved it to be non-productive. Cadogan shares fell 12% yesterday.
