Central European Media reports 22% yoy net revenue increase in 2008

Central European Media (CETV US) released its 2008 financial results according to IFRS yesterday: net revenues of USD 1.0 bln, up 22% yoy; operating loss of USD 127.8 mln (due to an impairment charge relating to its Ukrainian and Bulgarian operations), from operating income of USD 210.5 mln in 2007; and a net loss of USD 255.5 mln, from net income of USD 88.6 mln in 2007. Central European Media is one of the largest Ukrainian television owners; it controls Studio 1+1, Studio 1+1 International and Kino stations.
