Coal Minister Preparing Ukrenergougol For Privatization?

Coal Minister Serhiy Tulub has ordered his staff to prepare the legal documents to bring Ukrenergougol, an energy supplier to coal mines in theDonetskregion, under the control of the Coal Ministry. According to a Ministry spokesman the documents are to be presented for consideration by the Rada next week. Alexander Paraschiy: Ukrenergougol is a direct competitor of another energy supplier Energougol (ENUG: BUY) and being put under the control of the Coal Ministry is likely to bring the former one step closer to privatization. SCM, Energougol’s main shareholder, is said to be eyeing the company.
