Committee to Consider Privatization of Minority Stakes in Energy Companies

The Cabinet of Ministers sent a resolution on the privatization of 21 energy companies to the Government’s Fuel and Energy Committee for additional consideration. Alexander Paraschiy: We estimate the state might receive up to USD 400-450 mln from the privatization of minority stakes in Oblenergos and generation companies. We expect the start of the privatizations to occur by the end of the year.
