Court Recognized June 2007 Privatization of 0.07% in Ukrtelecom as Valid

22 February 2008

The Kyiv Appellate Economic Court cancelled a decision by the Kyiv Economic Court that invalidated the privatization of a 0.07% stake in Ukrtelecom (UTEL: HOLD) at stock exchange on June 15, 2007. Alexander Paraschiy: Recognition of the privatization of the small stake in Ukrtelecom is important for preparations on the sale of the large state block: the risk of reprivatization seems to be getting smaller, and thus chances of a successful privatization are larger.
