Credit Agricole to provide financial support to Ukraine's Index Bank

Ukraine’s Index Bank said Friday that it planned to obtain USD 41 mln in financing support from Credit Agricole. In Dec. 2008, Credit Agricole granted Index Bank a USD 12 mln 10-year subordinated loan at 7% p.a, and a long-term USD 70 mln loan. Index Bank is Ukraine’s #41 bank by assets as of Oct. 1, 2008, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. Credit Agricole owns 99.9% of Index Bank.
