Donbasenergo To Create JV with ContourGlobal To Build 125 MW Power Unit

Donbasenergo (DOEN: HOLD) announced that it will create a joint venture with American ContourGlobal to build a 125 MW power unit at the Slav thermal power station. Donbasenergo will retain 65% control of the JV and ContourGlobal – 35%. According to Contour Global, construction of the new power unit will take place in 2008-2012, and will cost USD 1730-2000 per kW of installed capacity (or USD 220-250 mln).
