DTEK to boost coal production by 25% y-o-y in 2011

DTEK, Ukraine’s largest vertically integrated private energy holding in 2011, plans to increase its coal production by 25% y-o-y to 24 mln mt according to its CEO Maxim Timchenko. In 2010 DTEK increased coal production by 8.7% y-o-y to 19.17 mln mt. In 5M11 DTEK’s coal output rose by 8.2% y-o-y to 5.78 mln mt. According to the Coal Ministry, in 5M11 Pavlogradugol increased coal production by 1.9% y-o-y to 6.53 mln mt, Komsomolets Donbasa( UX: SHKD UK) by 6.6% to 1.784 mln mt, Dobropolugol by 9. 8% to 1.257 mln mt.
