EBRD acquires 23% of Universalna Insurance

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development acquired 23% of Universalna Insurance (UX: SKUN UK, N/R) following an additional share issue, Interfax reported yesterday. Universalna is a member of Universal Investment Group. UIG also controls Galnaftogaz (UX: GLNG UK, HOLD) and Khlibprom (UX: HLPR UK, N/R); its main beneficiary is Vitaliy Antonov.
