EU launches antidumping investigation against Ukrainian shaped welded pipes

The European Union has started an antidumping investigation against imported shaped welded steel pipes from Ukraine, Turkey and Belarus. The two major producers of shaped welded pipes in Ukraine are Kominmet (DMZK) and Luhansk Pipe. The commission charged with the task expects to complete a preliminary investigation in nine months time. In other news, Kominmet said yesterday its shareholders would consider raising the company’s charter fund by 24% to USD 16.5 mln at their AGM on December 15.
