EU officially recognizes Ukraine’s COVID certificates

EU officially recognizes Ukraine’s COVID certificates

20 August 2021

The European Union has officially recognized Ukraine’s
COVID vaccination certificates in the Dia app. Ukrainians with the certificates
in the Dia app can now travel without COVID-related restriction throughout the
EU, prada.com.ua reported.

The move comes as 1600 people were diagnosed with
COVID on Aug. 19. This is double the amount reported at the beginning of
August.

James Hydzik: Travel to the EU, especially for work, has been a motivator for
Ukrainians, and with harvesting season approaching, the recognition of the
app’s certificate should be a further stimulus. However, the rise in COVID
cases, while expected, is a concern that must be kept in mind, especially as
business travel picks up again in September.
