Eurocar Looking To Expand Skoda Sales By 29% In 2007

According to Eurocar General Director, Marina Yakovleva, the company plans to sale over 24.5 ths Skoda cars this year, an increase of 29% yoy. Eurocar said it was planning to produce 31,500 automobiles in 2007, up 47% from 21,390 units in 2006. The company plans to increase production of Volkswagen automobiles by 4.2 times to 8,500 units, Skoda automobiles by 12% to 21,500 units and Seat automobiles by 4.5 times to 1,400 units. Eurocar accounted for 5.5% of the Ukrainian new car market in 2006. It increased sales of Skoda cars in 2006 by 65% yoy, selling 19,000 units. In October of 2006, Eurocar attracted a EUR 22.5 mln syndicated loan to expand production.
