Eurocement Plans More Capacity at Balcem and Pushka.

Eurocement announced plans to invest $28.4m in 2006-2007 to reconstruct Balcem’s (BALC) fifth production line and increase its capacity by 25% to 5m mt, and to build a fourth line at Pushka Cement (KRCS) to increase the company’s capacity by 72% to 1m mt. Eurocement also reported plans to start cement exports to the Middle East by the end of 2006. The company said it also planned to build another cement plant, but gave no details. Olha Pankiv: The news is good for Pushka, which last year was operating at over 100% of its rated capacity
