Eurocement To Invest USD 19.6 mln In Balcem & Pushka In 2006.

Eurocement plans to invest USD 9.4 mln on the modernization of both companies (USD 6.2 mln – to Balcem, USD 3.3 mln – to Pushka), the rest will be used to develop the companies’ environmental programs (small-waste or zero-waste technological processes). Eurocement is planning to renovate Balcem’s transportation equipment, buy two locomotives and two buses. At Pushka, Eurocement plans to introduce an energy-saving program to cut production costs. In related news, Balcem announced plans to increase production by 2.7% to 2.2 mln mt in 2006.
