European Parliament approves easier visa travel for Ukrainians

19 April 2013

The European Parliament voted on April 18 to recommend to the EU Council that it sign an agreement to simplify its visa regime with Ukraine. The agreement is expected to be signed in May, Interfax Ukraine reported. Those enjoying easier visa access are state officials, truck and bus drivers, journalists and their crew, exchange program participants, close relatives of those living officially in EU, members of civic organizations and NGOs attending events and those seeking medical treatment in the EU, among other categories.
