Ferrexpo output declines 2.2% yoy in 2011

Ferrexpo output declines 2.2% yoy in 2011

13 January 2012

Ferrexpo’s (FXPO LN) total pellet production shrank 2.2% yoy to 9.8 mln mt in 2011, the company reported yesterday. The slight decline reflects a reduction in output of pellets produced from third-party raw materials (-33.6% yoy in 2011), while pellet production from its own raw materials continued at full capacity last year. Last year, the company continued to focus more on higher-grade (Fe 65%) pellets, output of which rose 4.8% yoy.
