Finance Ministry looks at NBU proposals on Nadra, Ukrprombank

Acting Finance Minister Ihor Umansky said yesterday, via Interfax, that the Finance Ministry is looking at proposals submitted by the National Bank of Ukraine on the recapitalization of Nadra Bank (NADR) and Ukrprombank. Meanwhile, daily newspaper Delo, cited unnamed sources within the Finance Ministry that while Nadra is likely to be recapitalized by the government, Ukrprombank could be liquidated. Andrii Parkhomenko: We think that Nadra and Ukrprombank are unlikely to receive government support before the banks restructure their external debt obligations.
