Finance Ministry places USD 16 mln in local bonds at auction

Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance announced that it sold UAH 106.6 mln (about USD 16 mln) in local bonds at auction yesterday. The issue matures on October 23, 2013 and has a coupon of 15.6%. The Ministry of Finance failed to find takers for bonds maturing in April and May 2009, May 2010 and November 2013. Since the beginning of the year, the government has sold UAH 8.6 bln in local bonds. The next local bond auction is scheduled for November 27.
