Finance Ministry Sells USD 2 mln in Local Bonds, Next Auction Today

According to the Finance Ministry, it sold UAH 10.22 mln (about USD 2 mln) in 2.5-year local bonds at its auction yesterday, after lowering the stop yield from 6.35% to 6.3%. The government failed to place issues with other tenors. Since renewing local bond auctions earlier this year, the Finance Ministry has sold USD 716 mln of the USD 752 mln planned in the 2007 state budget. The next auction is scheduled for today.
