Foreign Trade Balance In Services Reaches USD 856 mln In 1Q07

Export growth in services increased 3.3% yoy to USD 1.8 bln in 3M07, according to the State Statistics Committee. Meanwhile, imports grew 25.9% yoy to USD 0.9 bln to bring foreign trade balance in services to USD 0.86 bln. Alexander Viktorov: Ukriane’s traditional positive balance of trade in services again mitigated some of the deficit in the trade of goods (USD 2.3 bln in 3M07) thus bringing the total foreign trade deficit to USD 1.4 bln in 1Q07.
