Fozzy Group records net revenue increase of 46% yoy in 2008

Fozzy Group, the Ukrainian retail holding, reported in a company filing today with the State Securities and Exchange Commission that it finished 2008 with net revenue from sales of UAH 2.7 bln, up 46.1% yoy. The retailer ended the year with gross income of UAH 338.4 mln, up 5% yoy, and a net loss of UAH 148.4 mln (vs. net income of UAH 12.2 mln in 2007). As of Feb. 23, 2009, the company said it operated 150 Silpo supermarkets, 96 Fora and 33 Bumi discount supermarkets, 4 Fozzy cash & carry stores, 22 Bud Zdorov pharmacies and 3 Bela Romashka pharmaceutical stores.
