Gazprom says concern easing over Ukraine’s gas stores

Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said yesterday in a statement after meeting with Naftogaz of Ukraine officials that Ukraine was pumping gas into its underground storage facilities at a sufficient rate to ensure smooth transit of Russian gas to Europe in the winter, Reuters reported. Gazprom had consistently expressed concern in the past about Ukraine’s low gas stocks, triggering worry in Europe over a cut-off like last January.
