GDP increases 4.8% in 1Q10; industrial output up 12.6% yoy in 4M10

Ukraine’s GDP expanded 4.8% in 1Q10, the State Statistics Committee reported yesterday. Further details on GDP were not disclosed. The State Statistics Committee also announced yesterday that industrial production in 4M10 increased 12.6% yoy and in April alone was up 17.4% yoy (vs. 13.8% yoy in March and 5.6% yoy in February). The growth was led by further expansion in metallurgy (+33.4% yoy in April) and Machinery (+33.9%).
