Government Raises Inflation Outlook From 10% To 12%

Following the release of CPI data showing 11M yoy inflation at 10.6%, driven mainly by heating and utility tariffs which rose almost 3-fold in October, the Economic Ministry raised its 2006 inflation forecast from 10% to 12%. Alexander Viktorov: With less than a month until 2007, we are standing pat with our 2006 CPI forecast of 11%.
