Grain exports reach 4.8 mln mt since beginning of 2008/2009 MY

According to Yaroslav Gadzalo, Ukraine’s deputy agricultural minister, grain exports from Ukraine have amounted to 4.8 mln mt since the beginning of the 2008/2009 marketing year, 29.7% more than for the 2007/2008 MY. According to UkrAgroConsult, an agricultural think-tank, in the 2008/2009, MY Ukraine will export 17.2 mln mt of grain (+364% yoy).
