IFC to sign USD 40 mln loan agreement with Ukreximbank

IFC to sign USD 40 mln loan agreement with Ukreximbank

21 July 2009

The International Finance Corporation said yesterday in a press release that it will sign an agreement with Ukreximbank on a USD 40 mln loan to facilitate commercial financing on July 22. State-owned Ukreximbank is Ukraine’s #5 largest bank by assets, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. Andrii Parkhomenko: The USD 40 mln loan is a good sign that the bank has international support. However, the amount is negligible compared to the bank’s liabilities, and we do not expect any impact on Ukreximbank Eurobonds.
