Industrial production declines 21.9% yoy in 2009

Ukraine’s State Statistics Committee reported yesterday that industrial production dropped 21.9% yoy in 2009. Industrial output for the month of December was up 8.6% mom and 7.4% yoy. Mykyta Mykhaylychenko: In 2010, we forecast industrial output to go up by 6-8% on the back of a pick up in emerging economies – the main export markets for Ukraine’s metallurgy and machinery, which together account for around one-third of Ukraine’s industry.
