Investment in Ukraine fixed assets plunges 23% in 9M14

25 November 2014

Investment in fixed assets in Ukraine plunged 23.0% yoy in 9M14 following an 11.1% yoy decline in 2013, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine reported on Nov. 24. The Donetsk and Luhansk regions demonstrated the strongest decline of 49.2% and 51.2%, respectively.

Alexander Paraschiy: Against the backdrop of all the hardships that Ukraine has faced since the year start, it was no surprise to see investment fall in the two digits, even after a substantial investment decline a year ago. The dynamics are pretty much in line with our estimates and we reaffirm our 2014 forecast at -28.1% yoy.
