JKX Oil & Gas starts gas production at Hungarian field

JKX Oil & Gas (JKX LN) said in a press release this morning that it has commenced commercial gas production at the Hajdúnánás field in Northeast Hungary. The first well at the field came onstream at an initial rate of 3.5 MMcfd and the second well is expected to come onstream within a month’s time. JKX expects the two wells to produce about 8.5 MMcfd. The Hajdúnánás field is the first development in the Hernád licenses (50% held by JKX) that cover a total of 5,420 km2.
