Khartsyzsk Pipe (HRTR UK) increased 11M11 large diameter pipe (LDP) production 120% yoy to 557.5 ths mt, Interfax reported yesterday. Monthly output rose 15% mom to 58.7 ths mt of LDP in November. A company spokesperson attributed the increase in production since September 2010 mainly to ramped-up orders from Russia’s Transneft. In addition, earlier this year Metal-Courier reported that Khartsyzsk will supply 155 ths mt of LDP (25% of 2011E production) to the Vostok-Zapad gas pipeline that will run from the Caspian Sea to the east through Turkmenistan, with deliveries originally scheduled to start in September 2011 and be completed by mid 2012
