Kinakh Forecasts Inflation at 6.8%, GDP Growth of 7.2% in 2008

Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Anatoly Kinakh announced at a press conference yesterday that inflation is expected at 6.8% and real GDP growth is forecasted at 7.2% in 2008. Kinakh said these figures will only be achievable if the price of natural gas does not increase by more than 10%. The minister also said currency rates are expected to remain steady next year.
