Komsomolets Donbasa mine increases recoverable coal reserves by 3 mln mt

The Ministry of Environmental Protection of Ukraine issued a special permit for the development of coal reserves within the l3 and l4 seams at the Vinnitsya mine, part of Komsomolets Donbasa (UX: SHKD UK). The permit was given upon the approval of an interagency working group of the State Geological Service of Ukraine of December 9, 2010 to add the 3.218 mln mt to the reserves of the mine. Yegor Samusenko: The growth in reserves is roughly equal to the company’s annual production and will increase its total reserves by ~3%.
