Kryukiv Wagon completes assembly welding shop for passenger railcars

Kryukiv Wagon (KVBZ) told the press on Friday that it has completed work on a USD 5.9 mln assembly welding shop. With the new facility, Kryukiv’s annual capacity for passenger railroad cars expands to 300 (from 100 before). At the same time, Kryukiv’s product portfolio will now include both Ukraina railroad cars and subway wagons. Inna Perepelytsya: The increase in Kryukiv’s passenger wagon capacity will allow it to meet growing demand from Euro-2012 related needs and Ukrzaliznytsya, which recently said ~3 ths of its passenger cars (~40% of its total fleet) needed to be replaced.
