Kyiv court reinstates Regal’s licenses

Kyiv court reinstates Regal’s licenses

5 July 2010

The Kyiv District Administrative Court, on Friday July 2, shelved an order of the Ministry of Environmental Policy that suspended Regal Petroleum’s (AIM: RPT LN) licenses to develop the Mekhediviska Golotvshinska (MEX-GOL) and Svyrydivske (SV) gas and condensate fields in Ukraine. The matter is pending a further hearing of the Kyiv District Administrative Court. The action against the Ministry of Environmental Protection order was made by OJSC Ukrzakordongeologia, which purchases all of Regal’s gas production from the MEX-GOL and SV fields. As a result of the injunction, Regal’s drilling and production operations can continue.
