Ukraine’s Agriculture Ministry said yesterday that as of October 30, domestic landowners had received over USD 2.4 bln in loans this year (USD 1.3 bln with short-term maturities, USD 0.8 bln mid-term, USD 0.3 long-term). The amount represents a 33.2% yoy increase. The loans were taken out under a state program for agricultural businesses that caps annual interest rates for loans in hryvnyas at 18%.
