Lysychansk Oil Refinery (LiNOS) To Increase Bitumen Production

The refinery will increase its bitumen production 4.1 fold to 150K mt in 2005. Last year, the Lysychansk refinery produced 36.2K mt of bitumen. The company began production of road and construction bitumen in July 2004. The refinery also plans to increase production of automobile gasoline by 4.0% to 1.999 mn mt and production of diesel fuel by 3.3% to 1.716 mn mt in 2005. The Lysychansk refinery is operated by LiNOS, a publicly traded company, which leases the facilities from the Lysychansk oil investment company (LyNIK), a closed-ownership firm.
