Lysychansk Refinery Launches Isomerization Facility.

Lysychansk Refinery Launches Isomerization Facility.

21 July 2008

The facility has a capacity of 300 ths mt of light gasoline fractions annually. It will enable the refinery to produce more high-octane gasoline and improve the quality of its light oil products (gasoline and diesel as opposed to fuel oil). Concorde Capital: LINOS (LINOS) is owned by Russian TNK-BP, and leases the Lysychansk refinery. Ukrainian refineries have a very low ratio of light oil products in their total output (up to 70% as opposed to ~90% in Europe and the U.S.) due to their lack of modern technology. The launch of an isomerization facility will give LINOS a competitive advantage over its Ukrainian peers.
