Merchandise exports down 44.5% yoy, imports down 54.8% yoy in April

Ukraine’s State Statistics Committee said on Friday that the country’s exports of goods fell 44.5% yoy to USD 3.1 bln, while imports dropped 54.8% yoy to USD 3.6 bln in April. Both numbers are record lows since the State Statistics Committee began to collect data in 2001. The exports of goods came to USD 11.4 bln, while imports made up USD 13.4 bln in 4M09.
