Igor Syryi, Director of SCM’s metal and mining holding Metinvest, said yesterday that the company was planning to finish its legal restructuring in 2007 as part of its preparations for an IPO. According to Syryi, the company has been audited by Pricewaterhouse Coopers for the last three years. Syryi said no exact date for the company’s IPO has been set. Earlier, the head of Metinvest’s steel division Igor Korytchko said the company was considering the NYSE as a possible IPO destination. Additionally when Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich visited the NYSE during his trip to the US, he mentioned that several Ukrainian companies were ready to list on the exchange.
