MHP opens new sunflower crushing plant in Cherkasy

Mironivskiy Hliboproduct (MHPC LI) opened a new sunflower crushing plant at its Katerinopilsky facility in Cherkasy Oblast. The plant has a processing capacity of 620 mt of sunflower seeds per day and its operating at full capacity. MHP said the launch of the facility increases its total sunflower processing capacity by 50% to 600 ths mt p.a. The plant will be used to produce sunflower protein for use in poultry production and sunflower oil for export sale. The factory was outfitted with equipment from European manufacturers Schmidt Seeger, Geelen Counterflow, Andritz Sprout and Alfa Laval. MHP financed the facility via long-term loans covered by ECA.
