MHP (MHPC LI), Ukraine’s largest poultry producer, reported on Friday its final figures for key crops harvested in 2011. The yield for corn, its key and latest crop, was 9.8 t/ha, up 26% yoy, and well above the average figures for regions where it operates of 7.3-8.0 t/ha this season. Yegor Samusenko: MHP correctly bet on corn this season, planting it on 43% of total acreage vs. 25% a year ago. Corn has been the best-performing crop in this farmer-friendly year in Ukraine.
