Mittal Says It Will Demand Right To Purchase Huta Czestochowa

23 May 2008

Mittal Steel will demand its right to buy Huta Czestochowa in court, if the Industrial Union of Donbass (IUD) pays a lower price for the Polish company. IUD was given the exclusive right to conduct negotiations for the purchase of Huta Czestochowa, after Mittal failed to complete the deal due to a disagreement with Polish trade unions, despite the privatization commission extending the Mittal?s deadline for negotiations two times.
