Money supply down 0.1% mom, monetary base up 0.6% in May

Money supply in Ukraine declined 0.1% mom (+8.3% YTD) to UAH 429.2 bln (USD 88.5 bln) in May, according to the National Bank of Ukraine. Monetary base climbed 0.6% mom (+2.8% YTD) to UAH 145.9 bln (USD 30.0 bln). According to the NBU,the slight reduction in the money supply in May was mostly the result of devaluation of deposits in foreign currency vs. the hryvnya.
