Moody's puts Generali Garant on review for possible downgrade

13 March 2009

Moody’s Investors Service announced yesterday that it put the ratings of Generali Garant on review for possible downgrade. The Ukraine-based insurer had a national currency debt rating of Baa2 and foreign currency debt rating of Ba3. Moody’s said the move was related to the placement of Ukraine’s sovereign rating on review for possible downgrade earlier this month.
