Naftogaz fully prepared to repay USD 1.6 bln Eurobond this month

Ukraine’s state natural gas production and transit giant Naftogaz (NAFTO) has already reserved the needed cash to repay its Eurobond this month, Interfax-Ukrayina reported on Sept. 10, referring to Yuriy Vitrenko, the chief advisor to the company’s CEO. The company’s USD 1.6 bln Eurobond is due on Sept. 30. In early August, Naftogaz received UAH 63.3 bln in contribution to its equity from the state and got an order to convert part of the proceeds into dollars, worth USD 3.1 bln.
