Naftogaz in talks with Russian banks on USD 1.5 bln loan?

Naftogaz of Ukraine is in talks with Russia’s VTB and Vnesheconombank on a USD 1.5 bln loan, Konstantin Borodin, head of the Center for Energy Studies in Kyiv told Interfax yesterday. According to Borodin, Naftogaz would use the financing to pay for the remaining gas it owes for May (due June 7), still USD 340-350 mln is to be paid, and in subsequent months.
