Naftogaz repays USD 1.65 bln debt to Gazprom

Ukraine’s state gas monopoly Naftogaz has paid USD 1.65 bln to Gazprom as part of debt repayment for earlier imported gas, the company reported on Dec. 23. This was the second tranche of a total USD 3.1 bln payment that Naftogaz agreed to make for 11.5 bcm of natural gas that it imported in Nov.-Dec. 2013 and 2Q14, according to the Brussels deal of Oct. 30.
